The Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center now is open 24 hours Monday through Thursday. See story on Page 1.
We can’t think of a better time for the extended hours to take affect, especially in lieu of midterm projects and exams.
The facility is a one-stop shop for students’ last-minute cramming needs.
Downstairs computer labs are open, allowing students to perform research, print out assignments or surf the Web. Long study tables in the Shdeed Lounge remain available for group study sessions.
Students in Dr. Jim Buss’ United States History Since 1876 class must teach a class for their midterm. The study area could be a worthy place for the groups of students to compile their lesson plan, in-class and homework assignment for their peers.
Students also can purchase snacks after midnight in the facility, but not at Alvin’s Café or in the caf. The university center is equipped with Coca-Cola food and drink vending machines, located in a back hallway.
Students should take advantage of the facility’s extended hours with their student I.D. card.

University center opens for extended hours

Students sighted in their pajamas Oct. 11 in the Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center were not dressed that way due to lack of effort or laundry funds.
